Apple iOS & iPad OS 14.2 Public Beta now obtainable for users. Apple officially released the iOS 14 last week with key changes to iOS and iPad OS devices and their home screens, amid several other changes. Not up to a week later, Apple is already working hard on incremental updates with the release of the iOS 14.2 Public Beta.
The Apple iOS & iPad OS 14.2 Beta is currently open to anybody with an Apple ID and a well-matched iPhone or iPad device. iOS 14.2 brings a fresh Music Recognition function right in the Control Center, which put together Shazam’s (recently acquired by Apple) music recognition capacities. There’s also a freshly updated “Now Playing” widget for the control center which will display newly played music that you might fancy to play while there’s no music playing. A fresh interface for AirPlay will make it easier to connect to numerous AirPlay 2 devices.
In conclusion, a new “People detection” feature will use the camera to approximate how far someone is standing from you, a clever tool for today’s socially isolated society.
