MediaTek who has been delivering midrange and entry-level chipset with 5G capabilities to Smartphone companies has been recently building another chipset presently. Based on a report from a consistent leakster Digital Chat Station, the new platform will be based on the 6 nm process technology and will have similar architecture as the approaching Exynos 1080 in work by Samsung.

The MediaTek chip model number is MT689x (with the last digit of the number not yet known) and will as well have a Mali-G77 GPU. Digital Chat Station states that it will accomplish more than 600,000 points on AnTuTu which will make it similar to Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 865+ when talking of raw performance.
This new chip will probably be an upgrade to the 7nm Dimensity1000+ and there might be phones on the Chinese market that will be operating on it and still maintain to keep their final price at CNY2, 000, almost $300.
Such a price tag is not strange in China as the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra and the Realme X7 Pro utilize the Dimensity 1000+ chipset and are still available at around CNY1,999 – CNY2,199.
