Sometimes our mobile data all of a sudden stops working or slows down and it can be frustrating. As most of us uses the internet to work from home, bond with friends and family while at home, and most especially at this time of pandemic that most people have to work from home.

Smartphone has turned out to be a vital part of our everyday living, even more at this time when we are constantly dependent on mobile phones to connect to the world.

In this post, we would discuss 5 steps you can take to resolve the issue of your mobile data if it is not working well.

  1. Disable the mobile data, turn on again

One of the easiest ways to reset mobile data when it is not working well or slow is to switch the data off and on it back after a few seconds. You can do this by going to your mobile setting or disabling it straight from the mobile data option at the notification options, some phones have their notification option either at the bottom of the display or sides so locating your mobile data notification option should be easier for you.

  1. Enable flight mode and disable to fix

Another efficient way to correct your mobile data if it is acting up is by enabling the flight mode. You can go to the Settings menu or open the notification panel to activate the flight mode. This will stop all connections and restart it over again. This option is effective as many users facing the same issue have always tried this same pattern and it is effective.

  1. Check data plan if it expired

Any time your mobile phone stops browsing and you’ve tried the 2 steps above with no difference, the next thing you should do is check your mobile data plan if your mobile data subscription has expired or not. If yes, recharge it directly to reactivate the service.

  1. Re-insert your SIM card

Another different way to fix your mobile data speed is by removing the SIM card from your mobile phone and re-inserting the SIM after a few seconds. A SIM card ejector will be needed to carry out this option. You will need a SIM ejector tool to take out the SIM card from the mobile phone.

  1. Restart your smartphone

The most effective way after trying all the above options with no difference is to reboot your smartphone. If it’s a network problem or not, rebooting your phone most of the time resolves issues. This same method is effective for your laptops, PCs, and any other gadget.

If after trying all the options above and there is still no difference you can contact your network provider.
