Apple Watch 6 set to launch with the new cheap Apple Watch SE
It seems very possible that a cheap ‘Apple Watch SE’ will launch together with the Apple Watch 6 this fall. We’ve previously heard rumors of a cheaper Apple Watch are to launch soon. However, sources well-known with Apple’s autumnal launch procedure have told Bloomberg that a budget take on the Apple Watch is approaching along with a successor to the Apple Watch Series 5.
The Apple Watch SE is likely to only come in an Aluminium model and will boast of the new S6 and W4 chips as anticipated in the Apple Watch 6, including a 16GB of storage space and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Although the Apple Watch 6 is likely to use an optical sensor on its side, the Apple Watch SE is listed to maintain the Digital Crown that’s been part of the Apple Watch from its beginning.
Even as the Apple Watch 6 is placed to be a premium smartwatch planned to go along with the iPhone 12 collection, the Apple Watch SE is expected to be targeted as a tribute to the new iPhone SE.
