In late October, honor teased about the smartwatch using a Halloween theme design following the prevailing festive event (Halloween), with an interesting copy “your eye candy is here”. Sequel to the release of the Honor Magicwatch, which came on board last year, the Huawei sub-brand has finally released the second edition of its smartwatch as promised earlier.
Made from stainless steel, the Honor Magicwatch 2 comes in two variants based on size; the 42mm adopts a small 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display, while the 46mm adopts a 1.39-inch circular AMOLED display both with 320ppi pixel density.
Color variations also include; Charcoal black and Fax brown for the 46mm model, and Agate Black, Sakura gold for the 42mm model.

Honor has also opted for a monochromatic look this time around, with no red accents around the dial like the first-generation smartwatch. Compared to its predecessor, this iteration has thinner bezels that don’t rise too high off the display.
The smartwatch has been tagged as a fitness watch because of its adoption of numerous fitness features including heart rate monitoring, sleeping tracking, stress monitor, breathing guidance as well as 15 fitness modes.
Complementary to its 50 meters water resistance design, the device also has a unique feature that calculates your SWOLF score – the sum of the number of strokes and seconds you needed to swim one length of the pool. With this you don’t only get to swim with your wristwatch, you also learn to swim better with it.
The Honor Magicwatch2 is based on the Kirin A1 chipset and has connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Dual-frequency GPS. The device is powered by a 455MAh battery for the 46mm variant and a 215MAh variant for the 42mm variant.
