Meizu which is one of the dominating smartphone company recently announced the release of their new phones which are Meizu 17 pro and Meizu 17. They are expected to be launched by May 11, 2020. Meizu has officially unveiled its new Meizu 17 flagship smartphone series. There are two smartphone models named Meizu 17 pro and Meizu 17. The phones are identical in appearance and specifications but few differences.
The Meizu 17 Pro sports a 6.6-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has a punch-hole in the top right corner that houses a 20-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The quad-camera setup includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture, a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 3D ToF Samsung sensor with f/1.4 aperture. It is capable of shooting 4K videos at 60fps and slow-motion videos at 480fps.
The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast charging and 27W wireless charging support. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner and will be running FlymeOS based on Android 10 out of the box.
Meizu 17 Pro Pricing:
8GB RAM with 128GB storage for CNY 4,299 (about $607)
12GB RAM with 256GB storage for CNY 4,699 (about $644)
Since Meizu 17 is essentially the same as the Meizu 17 Pro, we will only cover those specs and features which are different. The relatively cheaper model comes with a single 8GB RAM option. It has the 64-megapixel primary sensor but a different set of remaining three cameras. These include a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor with f/1.9 aperture, an 8-megapixel Samsung 4H7 sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5-megapixel Samsung 5E9 sensor with f/1.9 aperture.
The Meizu 17 will cost CNY 3,699 (about $523) for 8GB/128GB model and CNY 3,999 (about $565) for 8GB/256GB model.
