Xiaomi offshoot Poco finally launched another inexpensive Android device, this time around it is the M3, and the phone will arrive with some reserved but appealing internals at a low entry price.
Looking very well you will notice that the Poco M3 looks so much like the Redmi Note 10 4G, this latest Poco model however comes with a new lick of paint and some appealing internals for those wanting a reasonable Android experience.
The phone will come with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display that sports a dewdrop notch up top, while internally it is running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset and 4GB of RAM. The key internal advantage here is the 6,000mAh internal battery which can be charged up at 18W speeds via USB-C, you can buy an extra cable that will let you efficiently use the Poco M3 as a power bank to charge your other devices.
It has a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner and also supports AI Face Unlock feature too. Additionally, the Poco M3 comes with a 3.5mm headphone port for wired audio. Storage can be extended up to 512GB using the microSD, the phone comes with 64GB and 128GB out of the box.
A triple camera can be located at the back that consists of a 48-megapixel main sensor, 2-megapixel macro camera, and 2-megapixel depth sensor for fake bokeh effects. It’s a modest rear camera setup that people won’t be too impressed by, but it should be firm enough for most users since it is an inexpensive offering. At the front-facer, an 8-megapixel camera is located for selfies.
Unfortunately, the Poco M3 comes with the pre-installed MIUI 12 flavor of Android 10. No news yet concerning the potential upgrade path to Android 11, or if the Poco M3 can be upgraded to Android 12 when it is finally available.
The Poco M3 is priced $149 for the 4GB/64GB option and $169 for the 4GB/128GB option, while it is not certain whether it will come to the US markets, making the US pricing a strange prominent now. The smartphone will be offered in blue, yellow, and black colors respectively.
