Sony lists the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition at two different prices. Furthermore, Sony made it know that it will begin the sale of the consoles as from November 12 in selected countries, followed by a worldwide release on November 19
Subsequent to Microsoft releasing all information on the Xbox Series X and Series S, it was believed that it won’t take long before sony reveal the details also. Today, we have all the prices and release dates for the PlayStation 5 generation consoles.
Sony aimed to fend off the Xbox duo with a smart pricing tactic. The flagship PS5 with its Blu-ray player will be available for $499. This is very much a similar price as the Xbox Series X. The PS5 Digital Edition with no the Blu-ray player is priced at $399, which is roughly a $100 more than the Xbox Series S. Nevertheless, the Series S is a lowered console while the PS5 Digital Edition has come with the same hardware of the PS5.

If you are living in the US, Mexico, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, the PS5 models will be available for purchase from November 12. For other regions, the sales will commence from November 19. The release date for the PS5 in China is yet unknown. Pre-orders for the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition start on September 17.
Sony as well announces the prices for the PS5 accessories. The DualSense wireless controller will cost $70 while the Pulse 3D wireless headset is available for $100. Sony says that launch titles for the PS5 will cost around $50 to $70. As a small cue, the PS5 exclusive titles consist of Spiderman Miles Morale, Gran Turismo 7, and Horizon Forbidden West.
At the event, Sony furthermore announced its $9.99 price for the PlayStation Plus Collection. Similar to Microsoft’s Game Pass, this subscription will present access to over 100 games, together with PS4 titles such as God of War and Uncharted 4.
Sony PS5 specifications
The PS5 presents outstanding upgrades more than the PS4 Pro, with performance enhancements in major areas. Like the Xbox Series X, the PS5 relies on a custom AMD Zen 2 octa-core CPU clocked at 3.5GHz. There’s a 10.28 TFLOPS GPU with a custom RDNA architecture present here for the graphical functions. Sony uses a custom SSD to advance the game loading period. The PS5 can deliver games at 8K resolution, as far as the games and your monitor holds up 8K. Furthermore, players can also enjoy titles at 120 fps in 4K resolution. Sony also revealed the dimensions of the PS5 console. It is about 390mm (15.4 inches) high, 260mm (10.24 inches) deep, and 104mm (4.09 inches) broad.
