Telegram made this known that it has finally included the video call features to all its desktop and mobile apps. The company made this declaration on the day of its 7th anniversary from the time when it went live in August of 2013.
The video call functionality is presently made available in an alpha state across all the apps. Also with the voice calls, all video calls in Telegram are secured with end-to-end encryption On-screen the app will show four emoji for you and your call partner. The call is encrypted If both have the same four emoji.

You can minimize the call to continue using the rest of the app as the voice call feature makes use of the picture-in-picture feature. You can decide to change to just a voice call during the video or just turn off your camera at your side while making the call.
Telegram also promised to roll out more features as time goes on. Most significantly, the app will get the option to do group video calls.
Also, Telegram has added more animated emoji options for commonly used emoji. A larger animated version will appear instead when you type any of these emoji in chat.
