As shared by WABetaInfo, the development team is full of activity working on adding multiple devices support to WhatsApp. The app presently restricts users to use one WhatsApp account e.g. mobile number to one device at a time. This new trait will increase this maximum value to up to four devices. It is also possible that as soon as multi-device support becomes available, users will not have to rely on an active internet connection on their phone to use the WhatsApp web. As the whole process is still in the development stage, it is hard to say exactly when users will be able to use them in the stable versions.
