Xiaomi has invested in smartphones, mobile apps, laptops, earphones, and many other products over the years.
It is reported that they are currently working on the first smartphone which will have a 150-megapixel camera. The leak has been shared by a reliable Ice Universe on Weibo. This will be the same camera sensor that Samsung is already reported to be working on. However, the new leak adds that the development of the sensor has been completed.

This alleged partnership between Xiaomi and Samsung is nothing to be surprised about. Both the tech giants previously teamed up to release the world’s first 108-megapixel smartphone Mi CC9 Pro last year. The camera sensor was later seen in the Mi Note 10 series, Mi 10 series, and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
The launch of the 150-megapixel Xiaomi smartphone is expected to happen in Q4 2020. It means we will see the phone getting official anytime between October and December 2020. The camera sensor maker Samsung is likely to release its own phone sometime next year depending on the feedback.
A previous report claimed that the 150-megapixel camera is an ISOCELL sensor with Nano cell tech. It measures only 1-inch in size which means it will take less space inside the phone’s body. It should be able to merge nine pixels into one and offer a theoretically better and sharper still photo. Additionally, Samsung has revealed its plans to release up to 600-megapixel cameras.
